Adventure Radar

A free prompt builder and trip-cost reality check for people who care more about a great adventure than a random cheap fare.

A friend had already built the interesting part: a detailed scheduled ChatGPT task that searched for unusually good travel opportunities instead of waiting for a destination to be chosen first.

The next question was what should become software.

The first version deliberately does not pretend to be another Skyscanner. It turns a person’s travel preferences into a reusable, evidence-conscious ChatGPT search brief, then gives them a simple way to compare the known cost of leaving from home against the seductive “cheap fare” from a positioning airport.

The important behavior is small but strict: blank costs stay unknown. A cheaper fare from a distant airport does not automatically win once driving, parking, hotels, baggage, and transfers enter the picture.

The tool runs without an account, saves an optional profile only in the visitor’s browser, and lets anyone download the generated prompt. No live airline scraping or paid airfare API is required for the first useful slice.

What comes next is the systems layer: ingesting authorized deal sources, recording quote evidence, deduplicating opportunities, and delivering alerts without confusing “a lead was advertised” with “this exact fare was verified for the whole party.”
